pump mag

I am fairly new to mags but have been very happy thus far. I am also becoming a bit of a pump whore. I am looking into building a pump mag. I know it can be done because I have seen them for sale on this board, however I do not know what all is involved. I was hoping someone on this board could provide me with some information. I am basically looking for informations in 2 catagories, technical and functional.

Technical----

1. What kind of pump kit is needed? Is there and AGD kit or can a cocker kit be modified?
2. What other modifications are necessary?

Functional----

1. How well do pump mags run?
2. How is the air efficiency?
3. Can they be run off of 12 grams or 3.5 oz co2?

I would greatly appreciate any available input.

To make a Mag work you need a AGD Pump Kit. They don't sell them anymore so you'll need to find one used. It requires milling to your RAIL, a small hole cut in the bottom of your body.

It will work on any mag valve, even the X Valve. I do not know how effecient it a mag will be off of 12 grams, but added a pump kit on your mag shouldn't make it any more or less effecient than if it was semi.

No, it won't work off of any mag valve if youre going to be using 12 grams/3.5 oz, since they are CO2. All mag valves exept the classic run on only compressed air.

I was correcting noah...the pump kit WILL work on any valve.

The Classic 68, Minimag, and Micromag valves all work on Co2 (i'm preeeeeetty sure micro mags are just classics). Yes the RT's Emags and X Valves don't run on co2.
