    Breakbeam trigger

Alright I have been thinking about this for a very long time and I wanted to hear your guys thoughts. Could you use a breakbeam to sense the trigger instead of a microswitch? It would be virtually wieghtless but i think it might cause major problems with bounce.

You should go to each gun manufacturers forum or call them up. Ask the OWNER of the company why his gun is better. When you get your answers come back here and tell us what they said.

You should buy my gun because I have 5000 posts that say I care.

In my little thread, with a messed up gun that is what I used. I thought it was a good idea. I didn't even know the eblade used one.

Yep, they call it "magnoptic", Magnet return, optical switch. Thats why I hate eblades soooooooooo much. When you pull the trigger...at the begining theres magnetic resistance, but then you break the magnet's field then instantly THWACK theres NO resistance. Its utterly annoying...

Heres a link to the PDF file : http://www.armyoforr.com/images/Down...eBladeBook.pdf

The trigger return magnet has nothing to do with the optical sensor... The magnet is not an electromagnet controlled by the optical switch, but rather, it just has less effect the farther away the trigger gets during the pull... I personally love the eblade trigger because of the magnetic return, much more easily adjustable than the E-mag...

            I never said it did...

I'm not sure what Emags you've used, but the ones I have used a magnetic return system, and a magnetic switch system. They act in the same way the Eblade does, but the Emags and Xmags I've used seem more STRONG than the eblade's magnet system. Its like the eblade magnet just "craps out" at the end of the pull.

Sorry, it seemed as though you were saying that the magnetic return was turned on and off by the optical switch... I misread...

I know the Emag has a magnetic return... I was just saying that the eblade's mag return is much easier to adjust than the mag's... I've never noticed the magnet crapping out on my eblade... Just my experience...

mine either, but one when i was adjusting it, it felt like the magnets stuck to each other, after i backed it out, it was fine again

I know a guy who is getting or has a patent on a beam brake trigger, he says its really simple to do.
