    Replacing HES with Microswitch

Anyone try to, or have the idea of replacing the HES on an emag with a standard microswitch?
I think it can be done with minimal modifications, and possibly replacing the emag trigger with a modded I-frame one. My idea involves replacing the HES holder with a new one that has 2 posts in it to hold a micro switch. A small chanel will have to be cut in the front of where the HES normally sits to allow an actuator (Set screw or similar) to work the switch. It would still allow you to use the return magnets in the top of the grip frame.

This could be an easy way to get around the issues with the HES when replacing the board.

    What do you think?

It actually woudnt take too much.... some basic metal working ability and tools.

I am ordering an E-tac from tunaman shortly.. im thinking im going to do it to that. Once I get it all planned out, im going to approach some of out fellow AO'ers about making the parts for me.

The thought of a 25g microswitch in an e-mag makes me salavate.

        I'm all for it myself!
definately interested in seeing the finished install.
might just come up with one myself...I have some super small (1/16 inch) microswitches/psuhbutton type that i could probably mount outside the frame or even on the trigger to start with and then work from there...no millwork until I'm sure i can do it and it will work...

I took the HES cover off last night to eyeball it and see if a micro switch could fit in there, Unforunalty, a standard one wont. I am going to start exploring the 'push-button' types to see if anything could be plausable.

          Any suguestions?
