Turning Stock Feedcup Into Clamping One

I've got a CF classic Mag body and I can't get my eV II to sit tightly. I've tried putting all kinds of tape around the feedneck of the loader with no luck.
So, I thought that maybe I'd try to Dremel the feedcup on the marker so that it's able to clamp around the feedneck of the loader.

Has anyone done or attempted this? What were your results?

    Thanks!

you could cut slits around it and use a hose clamp to squeeze it. Or if your handy with a welder, you could just take the old one off (i think they are brazed like the PF) and then make or have one made out of SS and re welded or brazed.

I have thought about that, but I was just wondering if anyone has actually done it and what the results were. I'd also like to shorten the length of the feedneck to a "low-rise", but I've got no experience with welding/brazing.

If I get unlazy, I'm going to do the same thing to my powerfeed body. Take it off and put a clamping feed at a 45* so I can run my Q loader hose short and low. I'll let you know how it goes and take pictures. Just gotta get get a new hose for my tig welder.

Yeah, I just don't want to screw it up. I'll get around to it eventually, then I'll let you know as well. I'll take some pictures.

Those feedcups are for Spyders; besides, I'd have to totally remove my feedneck in order to use one.

Well, my little project is complete. I just cut two slits (one on each side of the feedcup-front & back) with a Dremel and used a hose clamp to tighten the feedcup around the neck of the loader. It works very well!
Remember: I did this to an Automag Centerfeed mainbody. (The feedcup is fairly thick stainless.)
