Shaving down the plunger on a noid?

I'm doing the e-vert frame mod that Joni did. Except, I'm using a spyder noid. It's cheaper for me to get my hands on. However, it is longer and so is the plunger. If I shaved or grinded the plunger down though, it would fit. Would that create any problems or have any adverse effect on the noid?

i dont **think**so. i know the little linear motion noid i have is designed to be cut. you might actualy manage to get an increse in power output on the noid that way
