    Costom Building a Mag

Hey guys, I'm thinking about building my own mag.
Should I just buy a mag and excange for the parts I want, or would it be cheaper to build it from the scratch. If I build if from scratch then it would be my own in a way that no marker I've owned before has been. And I would be the only person I know with a costom built marker.
Could you give be an average price on building a mag from scratch?
And could you tell me a place I can find a list of all the parts needed to build a mag?

Or if it would be a lot easier to buy one and then replace parts for ones I want. I'm mainly looking for the cheaper way to get what I want.

This will be my first automag so if building my own custom mag is a bad idea then please feel free to tell me. But I do catch on to things very well and I'm good with mechanical things.

    Thanks

    Custom, C-U-S-T-O-M.

    From Airgun.com

    Xvalve - 225
    RT Rail- 60
    RT Sear- 30
    Intelliframe- 115
    ULE Body- 145

So far we're up to $575 and thats not with ALL the needed parts (misc screws and such), no if you order the whole GUN from Airgun, its about $472 for a Intelliframed, ULE'd Xvalve no barrel mag.

Your best bet is to buy a new one from Airgun or various dealers on AO, and mix and match parts you want.

    AGD Did someone call me?

You should go to each gun manufacturers forum or call them up. Ask the OWNER of the company why his gun is better. When you get your answers come back here and tell us what they said.

You should buy my gun because I have 5000 posts that say I care.

May I welcome you to AO, and also to the wonderful custom guy

my personal opinon is that if you have the time and money to build a custom mag it will be better to buy pieces then build because you dont have the cost of the marker plus parts you will save in the long run now this is all under the impression that you are going total custom and that will include what ever color you want as well check out the aftermarket pieces talked about in the other posts

Also if you look in the B/S/T section you might find something.

Also try talking to ClassicMagger on AIM and say you are from AO. He will help you out. He builds custom mags.

My advice is to search the B/S/T forums and looks for the parts you want. Sure any one can buy a prebuilt marker, but its so much fun building your own and knowing that you built it. Building your own setups also makes you firmiliar with your marker, and you will know how it works. Just my advice.

if putting it together really matters, when u get it, take it apart, and put it back together.
