    A CD player for eyes?

OK well after thinking and looking at my cd player i notice there has to be a little preasure thing pushed down in order for it to play the CD so why not pull that thing a ma jigger out and put it in the bottom of a body to act like a preasure pad thing so once the paintball is on it it alows the marker to fire then when nothing is pushing it down no fireing. What do you all think? Its just an idea so i dunno i'm not an electronics know it all

except for the whole thing that u need to go buy a board, program it per the new eye, and install it.

Oh and by the way the 'pressure pad' isnt even a pressure pad on a cd player, or atleast the ones I've seen. Its a switch and there is a bult in prong on the top of the player so when you close it, the prong comes down and holds the switch down which lets the cd player start. There would be no way to adapt this to a paintball gun.

Maybe if you got a microswitch with a REALLY light actuation force and put it in the bottom of the breech it would work but really eyes would be a HECK of alot easier and more reliable.

                actually this sparked a idea.

if sensi didnt suck so much, it would be interesting to intergrate it into the nubbins

Well the thing about using nubins is that A they are so small that it would be difficult to fit a sensor in that spot, B the twist lock system is discontinued, and C the nubbins are detents, and there isnt constant pressure on them. There is only pressure when you fire the ball past the nubin and you cant really use that to make an effective anti chop system.

Other than those three weaknesses, its a pretty good idea

a better idea is a capacitve sensor,

It works off of how close any object is to it,
or if an object is touching it no picky about
what unlike proximity sensors that will only
pick up metal or sometimes magnetic items

ya but wouldnt that require some tuneing or moding to make it know how far away from it it should be? JW dont call me stupid i dont know anything about them

Sensei blows. my 2 teammates with Speeds have to leave it off to shoot.

Anywho, a detent that had a pressure sensor, but didn't pick up the bolt would be pimping.

only problem withthe detent idea is that they have to stay out before the ball fire to do the whole "detent thing" they only retract after the bolt cycles, thus aftre the bal is shot.

The preasure sensor thing is a god idea,.....in theory....now all you have to do is make one that doesn't suck
