well, it started as a pgp...

so i picked up a pgp from my local PB store a few months back and started doing work on it about 2 months after i got it. there was nothing special about it other than that it was one of the old ones (short barrel) in good condition with a cartridge valve instead of the old style valve.

i saw a few threads here and on pbn about converting them over to autocockers and my mind was made up. i had to have one.

so i'm nearing the end of this project and i just wanted to get some pics up and maybe answer any q's anyone has about doing something like this if i can.

the pics get bigger, just click the thumbs.

i'll get more pics up when i take more pics. don't forget to tell me what you think of it, love it, hate it, all feedback is good feedback.

So is it a side loader? Where'd the top tube go? Very nice by the way. I'm in the process of picking up a second 2k1. Maybe I'll be sending you some questions in a bit.

my hat goes off to you, it looks very cleanly done, even more so with that pump handle on it.
And im guessing your soldering a vert feed to it? good luck, and i hope the soldering prosess goes well(ugly soldering is a petpev).

yep, it's going vertical. i know, ugly soldering/welding is a big pet peev of mine as well.

but no worries, i learneed how to solder from a jewler, not a plumber. i did a pretty clean job on the nut that holds the ram in place, so the feedneck shouldn't be that big a deal.

i'm thinking about having the lpr and knob gold plated, what do you guys think?

I think after 20 some years experience you would be surprised how clean a good plumber can solder or silfloss!!
Other than the Plumber comment I was liking the gun! I may want to do that to a old one I have, how difficult was it? Any chance of a write up? Oh yea BTW do you do soldering for plumbers on this project ?

I support the gold plating of the lpr and knob. Very slick looking. I love a clean looking pgp-cocker job. Great work. Slap a vert asa on there from say a minicocker and a decent HPR like a cp. That's be awesome.
