mag\ spyder question

Hey yall
I have seen the spyder\mag hack jobs and I was wonding something

If placement was not an issue, could you hook the noid right up to the trigger rod?

I am working on a project where I am going to be removeing the grip frame and mounting the mag to somethign diffrent.
Would this work??

If you had a way to keep the trigger rod from moving around, then yes you could have the solenoid interact with the trigger rod. The trigger rod is easily removable though if your project would allow the solenoid to get that close to the sear.

So you think that the noid being closer to the sear is better?
I can pretty much do anything in this area as I am removing the rail.

The solenoid right on the sear would makes for a much more compact design, rather then having 2" of trigger rod inbetween the two.

how are you going to mount the sear?

I have made a small block that will hold the sear and it is attached to the body with some stuff. I hope to have pics of the project by x-mas
