    Jeweling?

Does anybody know if this can be done on anluminum, then annodized. Cause I think it would look pretty cool on an automag. A completely jeweled dallara mag, with a carbon fiber barrel, and a carbon fiber grips and forgrip.

Also, I read here: http://www.customjewelshop.com/page.html that it reduces the friction of the surface thats been jeweled. Would jeweling mess with the tolerances of a bolt too much, or could it be used on internals to make them run even smoother?

    mmm...

I dont think so, im pretty sure that when you anodize, the piece gets bead or glass blasted which would take away the jeweling look. Although if the metal is cleaned extremly well, it may be possible.

Now it may be possible to Anodize then Jewel, because anodizing is a chemical growth on the Aluminum surface which actually is harder then the Aluminum itself, I dont see why it couldn't be possible, unless the Anodized coat starts wearing away or chipping off.

Although I dont think it would mess with the tolerance in anyway, dont take my word for it, try emailing this Wagner guy just to be sure.

EDIT I just did a search for jeweled aluminum on the internet and came up empty, so it likely isnt possible, but you could try and see, just order a cheap jeweling set and get a piece of aluminum from the hardwear store and let it rip.

      here we go

      i guess it is possible:

Need to find something? Let the Musician's Friend site map guide you to the products you're looking for.

thats "engine turned" aluminum, but it says it's also anodized, so i guess you can anodize it once it's jeweled. or maybe its the other way around.

If I ever get something like this done, i'll prolly ask punishers about what he did here:
Paintball Barrels by Deadlywind Paintball. The best carbon fiber paintball barrel in existence.

Just for kicks , take a wooden pencil with eraser and spin it in a drill. litely touch a piece of raw aluminum making a swirling circle, move over half the diameter of the circle and do it again .... Get it ???
        "It's my buddies gun"
        "I just bought it"
        "It came that way"
        "I borrowed it "
I HAVE HEARD THEM ALL, SO BE ORIGINAL !!!

My gun says I'm holding it back from doing great things ...
