i think there's such a think as a booster, but i don' t remember much. try a search for pneumatic booster, or hydrolic booster.

I'd think that their would be little to no cost advantage to getting one and bothering to take it to every game you went to for "free" air though.

you need an air booster. basically it's a device that uses two chambers coupled with a dual headed cylinder to compress the air. The "high" pressure side will have a piston area much smaller than the area of the "low" pressure side. if the ratio of the areas is 50 to 1 then 100 psi can be compressed to 5,000 psi. However, since PV=PV, while the pressure goes up by a factor of 50 the volume of compressed air will go down by a factor of 50.

here is a post i put together on docsmachine about how boosters work

you might have to cut and paste the link.

in my opinion, boosters are slow and inefficient. You will need a good air compressor, not sure on the CFM but it should probably be at least 10 cfm at 100 psi and you will need a good self actuated booster that can run upto 5,000 psi. I'm guessing 500 for the compressor and 1000 - 1500 for the booster depending on if you buy new or used. For 1500 bucks you can get a small 3,000 psi compressor that will do 3-4 cfm.

the way my local field has it is there is a huge 150psi compressor from walmart that handles the operating pressure of the booster but still uses a regular 6k tank to help fill.

Im not exactly sure what your asking

there is a auto 50 gallon 150 psi compressor (electric) that provides the operating pressure that pushes the piston in the booster and a regular n2 tank that provides air for the booster to compress

as for brand/models, I guess I can take pics this weekend

its looks like this one (if this one is electric) except 50 gal and only 150 psi (max input recommened for booster anyway). Realize that you still have to use regular tanks to fill, the booster helps and the compressor is there to run the booster instead of using a regluar tank to run the booster.

the benefits of using a setup similar to this is that you run out of air on a normal 6k tank slower, and you can fill to 4500psi even if your normal 6k tank has less than 4500psi in it

                        pic of a booster

haskel makes some good boosters, although if you cant get a good one used, it might be cheaper in the long run to get a really nice compressor
