    Dye Ultralite Frame

Seems like a lot of you guys are real good with the mods. Anyone know how to mod the Dye Ultralite Frame to fit on a mag?

    sounds easy to me....

-drill new screw holes to mount through rail to valve/body,
-do some sear rod adjusting probably need to be shorter due to the massive trigger guard (unless its going on an rt-pro style rail with foregrip far foreward, then might not even have to mess with this),
-and drill the hole for the rod to go through to contact trigger.

    Am I missing anything?

Thta sounds about right to me. I am going to look into putting one on an Electro Mag and I am going to do some research on it this weekend to see if it is feasable. I'll let you guys know what I find out.

I saw these frames on Ebay. A bit pricy.

Well, what I am getting at is since it is an electro frame...what needs to be done to have the noid hit the sear correctly. Does it need pnumatic mods similar to ion frame mods that is being done, or is it easier/harder.

If you consider what Emag lowers go for, Devilmag lowers, and Logic's than the Ultralite is cheap. To get it to work with an electro there is going to need to be some custom work, mainly some machining to fit a solenoid in the frame. I am hopefully going to look at one this weekend and I will find out if they are wide enough.

ahh i didn't know you were trying to electro your mag. Well, you'll need new internals and they'll need to fit inside the dye frame which will be uber-tough due to the thin area where they important stuff needs to go. You would need some e-spyder guts, hyperframe, boo-yah, ion (if it works - see other workshop ion-mag thread), something of the sort.

Alls thats inside of a dye UL frame is their snazzy board, the solenoid is housed above the gripframe inside the body

Really not a practical project, now if you wanted to just put a dye frame on your mech mag...that'd be relatively easy.

The only thing you would need to be able to accomplish is to be able to mount the frame to the rail and mount a solenoid inside of the gripframe. The board will work fine. If you have a single solenoid board firing a single solenoid it is fine.

Edit: The solenoid must be a pancake style solenoid like what is in a Spyder, Boo-Yah, and so on. The trick is going to be if the gripframe is wide enough to fit the solenoid in it.

Alright, it took a little longer than what I planned but here are some pics to whet your appetite. More to come as I continue to work on it. Enjoy .
