How do you lighten the trigger pull?

Well I tried the search feature and found lots on pnue mods and electro mods but nothing on just making the mechanical trigger pull lighter. I know this is kind of a low end question but it's my first Mag. I've got a lot of experience with Cockers, ICD's, AKA's & Tribals so I should be able to relate somewhat to any advice on "how to" go about lighten the trigger.
The marker is a Classic Mag w/powerfeed and Benchmark double trig frame. I would like to try running C02 thru it but for now I'm just using Compressed Air. Don't wanna sink a lot of $$ into it either so going lvl7 or 10 is not an option. Thx for your help......

    ULT

For reasons that Im unsure about, the ULT is hit or miss with a Classic valve for working perfect. I believe you must use lots of the shims as well. One of these days Ill find out, but eh. Someone here certainly has an answer. Theres also this and the good ol search button.

I have had success using a ULT on a classic valve. In fact, I have used the same ULT on two different classic valves and it worked both times. The trigger is MUCH lighter, but you may or may not get the performance that you want out of it. Using a ULT on a classic valve with an Intelliframe, you have to fully pull and release the trigger each time to make sure not to "chuff." This may just be my setup and I have already tweaked the ULT, but it make take some further fine tuning.

The quickest easiest way to make your mechanical trigger lighter is to use a ULT.

Well considering I've been using Cockers since the days of the slider triggers, pulling & fully releasing a trigger shouldn't be a problem. So despite the warnings on the ULT link/post you "CAN" get the ULT mod to work on a Classic valve?
Thanks guys I'll read the ULT post again and see if it's worth it....

          You could try a R/t on/off.

Yes the ULT will work in the classic valve you just need alot of shims.

Ah ha! You do need more shims. More than average to run the ult or more than the kit comes with?

Kansas- Why did you want to run your mag on co2?

Well, this Mag won't be seeing any tournies just probably mostly rec ball or scenario. Depending on where I end up C02 might be the only option. I know compressed is cleaner, more stable, etc but sometimes I just feel like going as lite and small as possible.
I curretly have 6 electros that I only run CA on (Vik/B2K/(4)Tribals), 2 Cockers that I've only run on CA and 3 Tippmans(2-98c's & 1-Prolite) that I mostly run on C02 but occasionly run on CA. I thought it would be nice to have something besides a Tippmann that I could shoot on either.

If you use a RT on/off it will lighten the trigger pull alot with a benchy double trigger . I shot my mag that way for quite a while.

It is this RT on/off The trigger pull wont be as light as with the ult but there are no shims to mess with and it will still be plenty light , to the point of being "mushy"

OK, thx Coralis. I might be getting ahead of myself but looking at the part I just have to ask.... The holes are more than likely there for airflow, right? Has anyone "ported" them out a little? Maybe even chamfer the edges?

Some people seem to think doing that will increase flow. I, for one, dont think so, the passages in the on/off are the same size as the passage into it from the reg. I could be wrong

So, the fields around you dont all have CA?

                          Whoops! post madness!

And just to be on the safe side, the part that the RT on/off replaces is the part(s) I've circled in the pic below.... correct?

The fields in my immediate area do but I travel to some pretty off the beaten path stuff. In most cases my 2 scuba tanks are enough to hold me over, but when both my sons go and bring a couple friends it's just not enough.
