    Hardline

Playing around with a hardline project idea. Now Phantoms I believe use 5/32" compression tube, I am having trouble finding both the tubing and fittings for that size. Palmers has a few different types/sizes but not 5/32. They have 1/8 and 3/16, but only seem to have fittings for the 3/16 (elbows).

Currently I have a nice length of stainless steel but its the exact size of macroline (1/4"?)- which does me no good really.

Can anyone help me get a hold of some of this stuff? Any websites in handy? Been looking at brakeline / hydrolics sites with little luck, but they rarely list operating/burst pressures or wall thickness. Ideally would need 1/8 NPT to #/# compression tube elbows and straight fittings, along with the tubes of course

try putting it in macroline fittings.

Here's a reply i got from Punisher's Customs when I asked if hardline needed to be flaired for paintball:

    1) Pure slip fit by using macroline fittings and the right diameter tubing.

    2) I sometimes turn up a threaded (1/8NPT) secion of larger tubing and solder it on one end and use a macroline fitting on the other. Having at least one slip fit end makes maintanance MUCH easier.

Always use seamless stainless with at least a .070" wall thickness.
    Hope that helps.

where'd ya get the macroline diameter hardline?

Brother snagged a scrap from work

Just tried sliding it in a macro fitting, fits perfect but doesn't catch like macroline does and pulls out without much effort - suppose gassing it up would hold it. Would be cool if it worked but still I'd like something a little smaller in diameter.

Slip fit would be great, though I do have a decent workaround for ease of working/disassembly - but something that can be disconnected would be really nice.

thx - downloading their pdf catalog now

          EDIT:

Well they have the 3/16 (still wish i could find the phantom stuff) stainless tube, still sifting through looking for elbows/fittings.
