Picked up a RT minimag for a project...went today to get some air to test it out, slapped on the air tank and all I got was leakage. Finished screwing in the tank to see if the valve needed to set, went to pull the trigger and the reactive part went hella crazy, uncontrolable. So im asking if anyone knows enough about mag valves indetail to maybe PM me or get me on MSN or AIM to help me walkthrough and get the thing working correctly, been a LONG time since ive been back the automag family, was soo excited to be back too, so having this happen was quite a disappointment. Any help would be greatly appreciated

well this shouldnt be THAT hard to fix.. did you get the tutorial CD that comes with lvl10 bolts? I assume you have a LVL10 bolt. Open the power tube tip (look for tutorials on that on this site) and either remove some shims (that would explain the runaway rt) or change the carrier size. Those two are the two most common things with leaks and over reactivity. Or if you have adjustable tank, turn down your imput pressure.Originally posted by ThisStarNeverFallsPicked up a RT minimag for a project...went today to get some air to test it out, slapped on the air tank and all I got was leakage. Nope, that would be a negative on the LVL 10 bolt..and the tank I have is a preset. Ive checked out all the orings, all seem to be intact, I have a rebuild kit on order to see if replacing them all may help, I have a feeling it may something to do with the on/off and or its pin, though im not 100% sure, its been while since ive had to work on a mag..Comment
