AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
Well there isnt much room in the first place and since the bolt is moving, the wires would probably come undone after a few shots. Those things move pretty fast!
Yes, but assuming those things could be worked around (like an old evolution bolt would have room in the middle since the porting is all around the edge)... could it work?
What would be the issues? I'm thinking if the X-mag works underneath the ball, and the eblade works from the side, it could work from the bolt unless it is moving while the eye is normally reading...
maybe you could make a clear bolt, and have a mirror in the back of the bolt that takes a beam of light from the side of the bolt and reflects it down towards the breach.
that way you could still mount the reflective eye in the gun, but there would be no chance of chopped paint covering the eye.
... if you had an MQ'ed autococker, you might be able to put a reflective eye underneath the bolt, behind the MQ valve. The eye would look up the air inlet in the bolt at a mirror that would reflect down towards the breach.
I dont know if necessarily the bolt moving is as much of a big deal and the air going through the bolt, I dont see why you could fabricate a custom bolt to hold the electronics and battery inside of it, im not 100% sure on the battery size needed, assuming watch size batteries could work for just an eye. The problem being the air coming through the bolt and shooting the electronics out the barrel with the ball
