    Pneumg Trigger Idea

I just had an idea on actuating the 3 way in a pneumag. Instead of drilling a hole in the frame and using a rod like most do now, use magnets. Mount one on the back of the trigger, maybe on a set screw so it is adjust able. And mount another on a MSV-2 inside the frame. I say MSV-2 so you will have a flat area to mount the magnet. You would have to use tiny neodymium (sp?) magnets, and it seems like it would work as long as your trigger frame is aluminum. What do you guys think.

Sounds good. If I Had the parts here I'd test it but it sounds like it should work.

Can't wait to get my hands on a mag so I can try some of this stuff out.

sorry but what are you trying to accomplish by doing this?

the magnets will not make the trigger lighter, or the stroke shorter, and they will act like a spring hen they are used in an opposing force method. so it would actually make the trigger pull longer because the force will start out weak and gradually get stronger, and it would have to be set-up to be just strong enough right before it actuated the valve. if you tried to shorten it and apply partially magnet force when the trigger is in the normal position this will slow the return of the valve stem and possibly make it not return properly at all.

it would basically be like sticking a spring in between you trigger and the valve. springs are always tit for tat. they always have equally generated opposing force so do the magnets.

I'm sorry to say, but I believe it will make the trigger squishy and long.

It would eliminate the need for drilling/cutting the trigger guard.

            well, I guess that's something.

let us know how it turns out.

I won't be able to try it because I'm not sure if my trade for a mag is gonna go through, but I was just putting ideads out there, so if any one tries it let us know.

On a slightly related note, does the emag HES work the same as any other switch?
For example, could I use it and a magnet in place of a regular micro switch on any other gun or does additional programming need to take place?
