    Pneumag L.P.R. and ULT questions

Hi all, it looks like i'm one of the many looking to do a pneumag mod. Now i reckon i can get all the parts here in the U.K. to do this project, thankfully all the distributers are pretty close to where i live. However, i'm not sure which L.P.R. to use. I've seen the Palmer micro rock used in a couple of mags but i'd have to ship one in from the States, but for what it is it's just too expensive (import duty ). (2) Can anyone recomend a good one to me? Also i'm now wondering if my bottle regulator may need upgrading to cope with the extra fire power this thing is likely to put out. I have a centreflag 850psi 4500 reg. My feeling is that is, as i had a short on/off pin that put out some insane rates of fire and it didn't seem to drop off. (3) As my valve is a retro valve, it wasn't compatible with the ULT trigger, so i had it modded to accomodate it. Now, although the trigger is lighter it's only slightly lighter and the R.O.F. isn't that impressive. Is there any way of fine tuning the ULT to make lighter, so when it comes to starting the mod i know that the marker is working as well as it can. After it was modded the performance was a real let down, it's ok but not what i thought it would be. Being a die hard mag all i want to do is make this thing chuck paint all over the place!! as i don't want or need any other marker.

A stock autococker LPR works fine for a pneumag, and the tank that you have now is fine.

qft. Any cocker lpr should do fine. Even the Smart Parts LPR for the IMPs wors well also.

As far as the ULT, add another shim or two and see if its more to your liking.

You don't really need a ULT.

okay, first off, the tank , and reg should be good as long as nothing is wrong with it. the centerflag regs have plenty of flow.

I 'll tell you this, I can get 21 bps out of my set-up. it's using a lvl10 bolt,so it's using plenty of air per shot. this is all on a simple pure energy 68/4500. so I know there is nothing restrictive about your tank/reg.

now the LPR, I've said it time and time again, the two best regs for this are the palmer rock/micro rock and the stock cocker reg. BECAUSE,.... they can handle the 800 psi input!!!

not all cocker LPRs can handle 800 psi input!!! a cheap reg is just that, a cheap reg.

the only other reg that I've seen work is the smart parts LPR you might be able to find one of those over there across the pond?

now, you want a pneumag that has nice trigger and a high rof??

get a good LPR as stated above, use an MSV-1 for the control valve, and an MPA-3 to actuate the sear, or something with the same bore or bigger. if you can find something similar in size to the MPA-3, but of a larger bore, like 11mm bore, you can keep the lpr pressure very low, keeping the trigger as light as possible.

then, modify an RT on/off. use shims between the two have , just like the ULT does, use a quad o-ring on top, just like an e-mag, and bore out the holes a bit on the top on/off piece.

thaqt set-up will have a light trigger, pretty much walkable by most people, and have a nasty rate of fire. very fun indeed.

Thanks guys, i can get all of this stuff local to me as te distributers are only a half hour drive from me. i'm gonna order the parts today and do a bit more research before do any mods on my marker. Just out of curiosity, how much extra air does this setup use ie, approximately how many shots should i expext to get from i have a 68 cubic inch bottle (4500psi)?
