I could do it if my 3-way was lower down...

Which is the prime advantage of the MSV-2 lever versus other 3ways. They are fairly cheap if your looking to pick one up. Definately worth it.

I dont understand why you have to drill a hole in the triggerframe and use a nail, wy cant you just use the pin from the part sear you take off and put it through the hole it goes in? And does the pin just sit in there or is it anchored (sp?) to the valve somehow?

You don't have to use a nail. I remove and use the old sear pin. The pin ususally sits in the chanel that you drill out. Throw a drop of light oil for lubrication in the hole and your good to go.

Isn't there already a channel there? Why doesnt anyone mount the valve so they can use the pre existing channel

the pre existing channel will not keep a free sliding pin in place. so drill a hole wide enough for a pin as high as you can. If you could find a way to reliably mount a pin to the 3 way so it is somewhat constrained to 1-D movement...then you could use the existing channel.

I know that on my benchmark the normal hole for the sear is too high. If I were to mount my 3 way there then it would be in the way of the mpa-3 and of the sear. I don't know about about an intelliframe though... I haven't owned one of those in a while.

Take a look at shorty24's mag internal pics.
Paintball Talk is the main forum for Automags.org. Here is where we talk about the sport of paintball in general and make announcements relating to the forum and website.

That is as high as the trigger rod can go and that that is the lightest 3 way I've ever seen in this application. his trigger rod hole is about a half millimeter down from the standard channel. Basically, to get that high of a rod and not get in the way of your MPA, you will need the lever arm of the MSV-2.

And that once again demonstrates how the MSV-2 is superior to the SMAV-3.
