Where do I connect the Capacitor?

Ok I am working on a project right now, but I need to know how I would connect the capacitor if I wanted more juice going to my board and solenoid. For example, is the capacitor connected to the battery and then wire to the Pred board on a devilmag?

Just to the left of the nippon denzo....
Is this a flux capacitor by any chance? If so...well, I defer to Dr. Brown

Sorry I really don't understand. My question is simply would I connect the battery to the capacitor or would I solder the capacitor to the board? This is a newbish question but I cannot find any examples for me to look at.

Remember, if you have a switch to turn the gun on/off, put it between the cap and board, otherwise it will shoot even if the switch is turned off.

Here is some paintart to explain =)

Putting the off switch between the board and the Cap will allow minor charge leak in the capacitor and the battery could die while the marker is off.

I say just go ahead and put the switch between the battery and capacitor...sure the gun will fire once or twice after you power down, but I don't see that as a huge problem.

I'm aware of the leak problem. I just thought it would be worse to be able to accidently shoot int the staging area, than have a little less battery time

My T-boarded Spydermag frame was good for that too.

you could have a microsized single switch double relay. then one switch dissconects both in front of and behind the cap.

I say F*** capacitors and just bust the enemy in the face with a slingshot. BOOMMM HHEEAADDSHOT!!! Then you can run over and teabag them like in halo 2 for the "complete frag"

Thanks alot guys that was alot of help. So would I solder the wire to the cap or just simply wrap it around and connect to the next component? Now if I can find a way to connect that micro fan everything will be perfect.

if you want things to be reliable, learn to solder and do it right.

I will ALWAYS recommend putting the switch between the board and the batt/cap. accidental firingcan be much worse than having to take the battery out at the end of the day. buying a new battery is better than having to buy somebody a glass eye.

my new trick is to use a DPDT slide switch to isolate the cap from the battery and the board.

I've been using the SW102-ND from digikey.

Well I just started soldering at my new job so I am learning the little techniques to do so. I think I set my goals very high on this project, but that is what makes it fun I guess. What worries me is not the soldering but the drilling on my gun. I really hope I don't drill wrong.
