Wgp Pump kit to mag?

Has anyone tried this? I did a search but didn't get anywhere.

I have found a place that sells them relatively cheap and was thinking that maybe just maybe it would be a pretty easy mod.

I know you would have to mill the rail (not the issue currently)
My question is how is the pump handle milled? Is it a straight groove? depth? length?

If anyone would get these measurements for me that would be awesome. Thanks Dan

if i were u i would get a sniper 3 pump the one that goes over the barrel then put a mag pump rod on and then just get a clamp on the barrel so the pump doesnt come out then put a spring on

Does the lenght of the slot cut into the pump handle determine pump stroke length? Is there a minimum and maximum lenght this should be?

Once I my head around this I'm willing to give it a try.

the pump stroke is going to be from the point where the rod meets the bolt to the bolt latching ... very short ... and maybe a little slack from where the rod comes up into the body

This is a 2nd gen pump kit. You can ID it by the the black piece that is the furthest to the left in the photo. In gen 1 kits it was completly round, in gen2 they made part of it oval to stop any side to side roll/wobble.

measurments, the only one I can remember off the top of my head is the ID of the bore on the front of the pump handle is 1/2 inch but this is for a gen 1 kit. I think that the the wider bore in the back of the pump handle was .61 or maybee .75 but I can't say for sure.

by the time you finish modding a WGP kit you may as well have just made your own.
There is not really so much of a slot length max and min, It is just a proper length. The slot needs to start angleing up at the right spot to get the pump rod to push on the bolt. The pump stroke length is affected by the length of the pump rod and you can use shims inside the pump handle to limit over travel towards the front but if you go too far the bolt will smack your pump rod when the gun is fired and will quickly start to cause problems.

Here is a kit I made on a hungover sunday morning in about 30-45 minutes including tuning.

that is some 2" PVC pipe and the bell end of the pipe, a cloths hanger and a spring from a mag light. I had to heat and reshape the spring a lot until I got it right and getting the proper bend on the pump rod was the most troublesome part of it.

I tracked down a guy with a agd pump kit and took all the measurements off of it that I could with out stipping it right down. The wgp kit is on its way and I hope to get into this before long. I'll keep you all informed of progress

Are you getting the wgp kit direct from wgp?

nope. Its coming from a friend in Michigan. I think customs has slowed it down (I'm in Canada)
