    Anybody reproduced mag solid models?

I've been working on and off lately getting some solid models of the mag i have here. It's just about finished, I just have a few things to do at this point.

    firing assembly
    firing assembly with frame/rail

I konw I know, the frame isn't perfect....but it gets the job done. I didn't want to spend an inordinate amount of time with the frame considering how ungodly complicated it is...geez tha thing took forever and I did a halfassed job on it too haha...

I still have to make the sear, trigger, body, battery, and some other small things.

        Wow.

I have been working in Solid edge to supplement running mills at school. I'm finally good enough start making some really cool gun bodies. My final project is going to be a pnuemag like none other.

I joke not... I just logged on to find if anyone had made something like this up for the valve.

Are you working off of published measurements, or ones you have taken yourself? It looks really good.

        Willing to share?

I have a group project for my ME 1770 class (drawings, cad) and my group decided to do my pneumag. We'll be using solidedge too, I just hope we'll be able to make ours as good as yours. We have to do a full set of multiviews and such too though.

Thanks! I'm just measuring hte parts with my calipers and slamming it into the modeler. it's not perfectly accurate, but it certainly does the job.
The frame is a freakshow...that thing is complex! The top in my model is accurate but the grip section isn't quite as correct.

I still haven't done the regulator's poppet and base piece, I don't want to mess with it, but I had to put the gun back together to clear space on the countertop so it doesn't really matter. lol

heres a couple i'll be prototyping the body in couple of weeks , right now i'm working on the frames. check them out at http://putfile.com/jpike10/images/78203 the body and rail are one pc. i'm thinking about intergrating the asa adapter into the body and make it pnue-mag friendly with a lpr mount built in.

When you guys start making these things, let us know, cause I'm sure there is alot of people who would pay to have one, you could even start ur own little business , but we may be interested in one when u start making them.

Back 5 years ago when I started college I drew up a working MiniMag to spec in Solidworks, I'll dig around and see what I have left of it. I do have a complete leafblower modeled from my 450 level class and an "any angle" vice from the 350 class.

I wouldn't mind seeing a finished copy of this when its done. Also, is Solid edge made by the same company that does solidworks? Love the program, just not really on the up and up of what else they've done.

I've never used it but I assume it's a competing product, another solid modeler I s'pose...
