i just found this
qev
i was wondering what you guys thought about using it as an alternative to the common sprinkler valves used on most pneumatic cannons? the one example i've found so far said he preferred it over the rainbird.

I don't understand. How would a QEV be used in place of a spinkler valve?

But please, explain. I've been searching for a new spud gun valve for a while now.

it loks like you hook the barrel side up to the exhaust port on the qev. when you drop the pressure on the input side with the blowgun, it exhausts all of the stored air into the barrel.
