    Modding a micromag body

Yes, the micromag body whether original or knockoff has the rail built into the body. But with the right tools, could it be milled down to remove the built in rail and mount to say, an rt rail? haven't seen this done and I am thinking about giving it a try.

I'm not sure I understand what you're saying, but it can not be removed. You can however ULE mill the bottom of the body to remove weight.

Yes, I suppose so. what I was suggesting to is shaving the entire "rail" portion of the body off and forming it to fit onto a rail such as a classic, rt, etc etc. It can be done. my question really is, has anyone done it? As far as modding it for an rt sear, well, that's seems to be a more easily performed mod. However, this being the first time I've done work on a micromag frame, I will step down from answering that question.

I don't see why it couldn't be modified on a CNC mill to have a rounded bottom with the front screw mount preserved.

            It's not about the gun.

AAAhhhh don't kill a perfectly good micromag. I have been looking high and low for a vert feed microbody. You should just sell it to me and then buy aluminum for your milling project!

alas, this proceedure will not be carried out. I just get a little too "tinkerish" sometimes.
