    Solenoid for an EP Mag.

Ok now assuming every thing goes according to plan (namely I pay everyone I owe money too back, the mini morlock board comes out, and I can get my hands on an AIRWALK frame) I plan on making myself an EP automag

But I don't know what kind of solenoid to use, any suggestions?

SMC model 113 3 way. Works good up to around 100 psi WP and a little more if you push it harder.

    They're about $50.

What about the SMC 0707? It's only rated to about 72 PSI though, would it be enough?

      EDIT:

Would you be using a ULT? If not, then most likely it won't be enough.

the 113's not that much larger at all. The only thing the 0707 has over the 113 is the simple hose placement.

Go for it though! Most of the fun comes from experimenting and making yiour own tracks.
The worst case scenario is that you gain some klnowledge and experience, well worth the cost of a noid.

Simple is always better though don't you think?

yes I will be using an ULT kit.

I can't wait until I can start this project. I can here it now "what kind of shocker is that?"

BTW Thanks pneumagger you're a great asset.

I built a proto type interal kit of my EP kit using information from Pneumaggers video and some of his parts as well as my own.

I didnt use a QEV, a level 10 kit installed, SS Micro E-Mag valve, and I dont have my ULT installed. My EP parts are on the way so I just grabbed a Race gun solenoid I had lying around, blocked 1 of the ports. Putting the board set to uncapped ROF, true ramp, I can get the gun to cycle so fast after 5 balls leave the Halo or Empire B2 will no longer feed a consistant rate. Every 10-15 cycles it might get 1-2 balls to feed.

              Its CRAZY fast!

PS: using my own custom boards,.. not a Morlock.

Oh yeah, I thought I might post it here...

I just talked to a SMC distributor in my area... I can get a SY113 for only $25! Only problem is that it will take three weeks to get it from Japan...

I paid about that for mine in my order. But I ordered 25. If you order 50+ the price drops pretty quick.

My custom valves are the same as these but they bolt onto my new actuator.

Good part is if you needed to replace the upper noid you can do it no problem.

Bad part is the rest of the noid is custom so you would have to get them from me!

Imagine the SY113 with a square MPA3 in one unit.
Thats my custom noid and actuator.

I was wanting to use and SMC 0707 (or was it 7070)? Is there some advantage to useing the Sy113 over the 0707 besides the pressure rating?

Correct me if I'm wrong but is the MPA-3 spring returned? If it is are there any that are air returned(lock a cocker ram only smaller)?

                    Thanks

                        Yeah I think so.

Biggest thing is what pneumagger said,.. the input psi max,... its lower.

                          No,.... sorry.

Still being worked on in SC.

I only know the max dimentions. Gladly, they will drop into the Intelli-frame with no alteration to the frame or unit. True plug and play!

As for now I did what Pneumagger did and it works awesome! That little MPA-3 is amazing for such a small unit.
