Connecting Trigger rod to MSV-2 Lever?

Okay I have all my parts lined up to start my Pneumag, but I still have atleast one unanswered question. Do I need to attach the trigger rod to the MSV-2 lever? If so how? If not, if I leave it floating, is there a chance it can fall out? I would say no but there is always a chance...

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

PS I have read all the tutorials I can find (most links are DEAD) and that is the one question I can't find the answer to, well that and where I can find 10/32 female to female couplers...

    Thanks in advance...

There is no reason to attach the rod to the lever. The trigger and the lever will keep it from falling out.

You could always put a little dimple on the lever using a center punch that is slightly larger than the trigger rod. This would give it a 'seat'

Remove the trigger rod from the clevis that you took off the sear. Drill a hole that's just smaller than the rod into the lever arm of the msv-2, screw the trigger rod in the hole.

these are all great options. in some pneumatic setups you will see the rods drilled at an angle sloping down, if you are NOT doing this (which I would advise) and your bar is relatively horizontal, just drill a nice straight shaft for it in the trigger frame and you should be good to go. the shaft will keep you in line, and as said before, the lever and trigger will hold it in place.

Has anyone tried using a planet eclipse style trigger, it has the part that goes into the frame to cover the optical sensor, would it be possible to use that to hit the MSV-2 lever?? Or maybe something like it??

Wouldn't this need to be a hinge of some sort, so when u push on the rod it would hinge kind of like the original sear did. Or maybe thats what you were saying...

Not really, there's not nearly the amount of travel needed to activate the msv-2, and the trigger rod will be a bit loose in the hole as well.

Thought about doing this with my iR3 90 frame, but theres not enough room to fit the mpa along with the interior trigger lever. I ended up having to drill a hole through the back of the frame and milling a couple of delrin triggers down to my liking.
