    cheap solenoid sear tripper mod

has anyone tried using the tippman rampage board on a mag? http://www.goapeonline.com/store/pro...cat=249&page=1
    (you can find them cheaper)

it has 25bps limit and has all the ramping goodies and more. looks like it would almost be a drop in kit for a hyperframe.

my hyperframe solenoid mysteriously busted so ive been thinking about just buying a kit like this to drop into my frame.

anyone tried it? would it work?

also if anyone knows about tippman egrips.... would this solenoid work if i soldered it to my jumper for the hyperframe??

go for it! At any rate, if you need a solenoid, I believe the solenoid is the same as the WGP solenoids.

I tried the ones sent to me from Tippmann Effect.

They use a spread between WAS, Tippmann stock, and APE boards.

Supposedly they (the noids) all work the same.

I put the board and the noid into my hyperframe, didnt have issues on my end.

Play with the voltage/dwell settings a bit and you should be okay.

Lots of guys have high hopes for APE to help the mag community.

It doesnt drop right in,.. u need to work at it to get the board to fit.

The noid dropped right into mine and I used 2 different frames to try it out.

what are the dimensions of the noid? Do you think it would be at all possible to put it into a intelliframe? Or is it so wide that it would stick out past the grips.

Yes the noid will stick out side the grip frame. It will stick out beyond every grip frame you can get your hands on for a mag or not.

Ive been playing with tubular solenoids for a mod.

If you want to use a frame that gives a "sleeper" look to it,.. tubular is the way to go.

this piece is just the solenoid.... if you guys have seen these noids in person do you think it would work in place of the stock solenoid in the hyperframe?

thanks for all the other great info as well.

Yes, that solenod will drop into place from the old one.

I have the one from the board that was soldered on, I just de-soldered it and re-ran the wires.

It should be the exact same one.

I used the APE board and noid in my RPG Chimera I modded. It shoots great. But not sure if it will drop in the hyperframe, it is a touch smaller I believe. But the noid definetly has enough force for the Mag.

A ULT helps conserve on the batteries a little more because of the lighter pull, but an RT on/off will also work..
