    Pnuemag Woes

I seem to have two problems that I need to work out by the time my new msv2 gets here

    1) The mag will fire twice with one trigger pull some times. Generally skipping a trigger pull and then doublefiring.

    2) The mag will leak air down the barrel. Relatively small but noticeable.

I assume they both have to do with the seer not hitting correctly. I believe what is happening is that the front of the seer (when the trigger is pulled) is hitting the mpa3 and causing it to prematurely return/delaying its return..but I don't know enough to say for sure.

    any input would be lovely.

Try moving the MPA-3 about 1mm further away from the sear. I found the best results came from having a space between the MPA-3 and the sear. If your using an LX10 bolt try a smaller carrier, i had the same problem and this cured it.

longi's got it right on the money. I had these same problems, and scratched my head for a bit then did what was mentioned above. the problem was taken care of.

listen to longi... sounds like the problem.

Instead of moving the MPA piston around, you may have an easier time shaving the sear 1mm where it hits or shaving the piston ram.

I seem to have lost my mpa3...I am displeased, but this gives me some time to fix up the frame. Don't ya hate it when things take walks on you?

It's a shocker frame and the actuator could afford to be a few mm lower (as it's hitting the seer at the halfway point right now) as well as a few mm backward. As much as I resent the idea I believe I'll be using a handfile and a dremel for the next week.

Just dremmel a mm off the sear leg. Don't breath the dust though.

Just make sure you dremel it off STRAIGHT.
I had a slight angle on mine and it caused the piston to bind on the way back.
