Tank reg question

Can I switch the positions of the gauge and fill fitting on my hpa tank?

When I screw my tank on the fill port ends up too close to my drop forward.

Take your pieces off, and see if the holes match up. Yes they have the same threads, but are the bottom of the holes the same? Most fill sides have a bottom with a smaller hole in them, so the fill piston doesnt go to deep into the reg body. And sometimes the gauge port goes all the way thru, with no bottom to it.
