    New animation....

    Fast; slightly slower...

It's of an E-mag with an RT valve. The RT reg action is accurate, although I didn't show the pressure changes in there. The gun also uses a level-10 bolt (notice the speed difference of the bolt) but it doesn't show it really well so I might go back and make a better level-10 animatino all by itself. I also want to add pneumag parts and make one of those too. So lots of work ahead for me

After I finished it all up I realized it was a little hard to follow. I think I will go back and add some labels so people know what's going on.

    Thoughts?

Glad you like it. I just finished the pneumag version as well. I've been thinking about a level-10 close-up, but it'll take a lot longer to make so it'll be a little while before it's up.

        Pneumag fast; slower

Pictured with a Clippard MPA-3 actuator, and one of those clippard three-way trigger valves, I forget what model they are.

ah! just like the original! a little SMAV-3.

can't say I miss that little valve, but man it was fairly easy to fit in and that set-up shot really nice an reliable.

            nice job Ydna

I absolutely love your animations. very useful tools indeed.

I made the pneumag animation using my model of the MPA-3 actuator, but I didn't have a model for the three-way valve, so I just ended up drawing it in my hand. hehehe nothing like ms paint.

I use one of those for one of my ptototype mech markers. It was either that or a cocker four-way...bah easy choice considering the cost.

I still haven't started on the level-10 animaiton, hopeing to do that this week if the workload is small.

i think it would be really nice to have an animation showing the lvl10 bounce off a paintball, then load correctly and fire.

hah, that's exactly what I was thinking!

okay okay, this is what I have thus far. http://www.zdspb.com/media/tech/anim...vel10_6fps.gif
(it's a big file, 1MB in size, be warned)

At the moment it looks pretty good but I want to add some frames to make the dump chamber take longer to vent (when it misfires). It all happens too quickly in the animation so I want to slow it down (since that's mroe realistic anyway).

                  THoughts?

your lvl10 looks slightly different than http://www.zdspb.com/media/tech/anim...evel10real.gif

I don't know which is more accurate, just pointing it out. Otherwise it looks great!

Very nice stuff! Those should be in a manual/CD with the marker (except the pneumag of course). But most people wouldn't see them there either.

He's just hosting that animation, it's the one from the Level X Guide page that the front page of AO has linked to. It isn't one of his own.

What's the difference in the animation that you're seeing?

I know there's a lot of stupid tiny errors in that anim there, since I had to basically jack the frames from my other one then edit them...which is why it took so long...but I'll probably go back and fix some of the obvious errors (such as the way the spring compresses).

By the way how do you like thost paintballs....they're "carpet" texture LOL

http://uweb.ucsb.edu/~dfinch/paintball/lvl10bolt.JPG in this version the lvl10 piston leaks and then seals pretty tightly. In your version the bolt core doesn't have that extra... bump.

Like I said, I don't really know which version is more accurate.
