Anyone ever shave the top third off of an MSV-x?

The FABCO drawings don't show the spool of the MSV-1/2, but it looks like you could shave off the side opposite the threaded connections and be able to push it up a little higher in the frame, or possibly get it in the frame sideways.

Has anyone taken any metal off of that top one third of the body?

I'm thinking my next pneumag may go direct to the trigger rod (like an MSV-1) and I'm looking at those last few millimeters at the top.

It has been done before. I haven't, but I've heard of people doing it. Pneumagger I believe.

      I expected as much

I find that little lever on the MSV-2 almost too sensitive. I thought I had lost a seal in the MSV-2 last weekend because it would not shut off. I took it out and found a piece of paintball shell underneath the lever. That was keeping it open!

As my son is ripping rope after rope down range during a game with the pneumag, a guy says "what is that thing?"

I have taken a good deal off the top of mine, fitting issues in my angel frame.

Ive got a kinda poor pic of it here

Im sure I could have taken off more in the xy plane and probably another 1/10 or so in the z axis.

Hope this can help you out some.

Rob's right... you can take the entire to 1/3 off the like in his picture. When I did it, I went ahead and took it all off, including the rear screw hole which I later regretted. So if your planning on using htat hole, keep that part on there
