Your thoughts on an EP mag... what board?

Here's what I did so far:

I plan to put that noid in there:

I'm thinking about using an Ion board as the 17 bps is more than I need, it is quite small, quite cheap when used and it doesn't use that much of power.

I have a SP wood grip and I know I'll have to mill the inside of that too to fit everything inside since the CF frame is way thinner than the intelliframe.

What do you think would be my best bet?

    Thanks.

Possibly buy a e-mag battery pack to put stuff in, also mini-morlock boards are really small.

The E-mag battery pack I currently have will be to put the battery to supply the warp feed and the loader .

I only want to interchange the pneumag frame I built with an EP frame that will have a single trigger frame with an SP wood grip.

I'll take a look at mini morlock's boards. Thanks for the input.

Try a Chaos board from Vaporworks, they are substantially cheaper than a Mini Morlock, and lots of them get used in guns other than ICD guns (which they are sold primarily for)

I don't think there is a difference between the Universal and the other one other than the name, I would go with the cheaper one. These apparently see a lot of use in people retrofitting Angles to have eyes.

I ran into a bit of difficulty mounting an MPA-3 in a CF frame. It's hit or miss cause you basically have to epoxy it in there and try not to shave too much off the polymer frame or it gets flimsy.

remember, wiring and hosing takes up more room than youd think. I have no doubt you can get all the components in there, just plan for wiring and use small gauge wire.

Yoda, is there any size for that board? It looks small but I'd love to see it next to a coin or ion board or something. Anybody got one?

It's just a hair larger than a morlock if I recall. it's a little wider, not that it matters. components on both sides.

i used a stock Ion frame for my beta test ep mag. i used a Scenario dreams ion tboard and it works great! the thing you will find out about that noid is you DO NOT need the capacitor to run it, with or with out one it will only cycle 24 times a second. i run mine capped at 22 cps in full auto mode for testing and it rips. also you shouldnt even consider the giant emag battery pack, that thing was stupid when it first came out and with this type of mod a regular 9v will last a really really long time as all it is doing is actuating a small 3way solenoid.

just my thoughts if you want pics ill post them so you can see.

I've modded a stock ion board (dirt cheap on pbn) to work in a EP mag as well as a morlock board. The morelock was muc better in the end, but was over $100. You need no capacitors either, it'll just waste power.

Yeah, I'm aware of that. My plan was exactly to epoxy it. I really want that SP grip to shoot full auto .

What noid are you talking about? The noid I plan to use (SMC) or the Ion board's noid? Cause I'm afraid the Ion board won't fit in the CF frame. I'm also interested in pics.

I only want it to power my loader and my warp feed with one 12V battery. I'm sure the weight will be better distributed that way and that one 12V will be lighter than four 9V.

In what way the morelock was better than the ion board? Is it really worth the extra penny?

                    Thanks guys.

the SMC that you have pictured is the same one i used without a capacitor so that saved me some space.

No less soldering, but it does have more modes and much more control. Worth the extra penny? Not sure, but you could just get an ion scenario dreams tboard without a noid for only like $50 and get all the extras. The ion board without the capacitor or noid fits in a ULE RT rail

I'm talking about yours. Fluidtrol (MAC retailer) told me 2.5 weeks ago it would be here in two weeks. I originally ordered it late april I think.

This is all that sums up my feelings for Fluitrol at this point...
