I've never lived in NY, but I was a Yankees fan since I was a kid. I had a poster of the '78 or '79 Yankees on my wall when I lived in Shelton, CT (about 30-45 minutes from the NY border). Heck, I watched the Yankees on Ch. 11 out of NY, before there were digital TV tuners.

Also, so what that they lost last night. It's still the World Series (my ultimate dream is to catch a home run ball, hit by a Yankee, at the World Series).
