Why are they keeping the location such a mystery? I would think it would be in their interest to let everyone know early so that plans can be made. Do they do this every year? If so, when did they announce the location last year?Comment

I suppose I understnad the need for secrecy on this, however, we are firming up our calendar for this year and it is getting very, very, very (perhaps too) close.

You kind of have to trust that everyone involved in bringing it together is anxious for confirmation too. The logistics involved in producing such an event are enormous and they want to get started as soon as possible.
Previos Shatner events have all been on Labor Day weekend and that remains as the goal for this year too. However, even that is not yet a certainty, yet.

If you change the date -- no one will show up. I am in the same boat as most as I have to get vacation requests, travel planed, funds raised, ASAP. Not knowing where, and now not knowing WHEN, is really going to put a crimp in my planning schedule possibly to the point where I can not attend.
