While I somewhat agree that it would be cool to do a donating member thing, I also see the other side. Iirc, didn't AGD himself condemn the "supporting member" idea, because it would give supporting members a feeling of superiority? I wouldn't mind donating a couple bucks to AO, it's been a great place to post about paintball and other stuff for me for a long time, and I wouldn't mind giving back, but I would actually prefer that any soft of benefit go unnoticed by the general forum population. Personally, I think increasing the pm box limit would be great, as it would give dealers who run out of space quite often to use their pm boxes, and it wouldn't set anyone up as superior. Nobody would know who had donated and who hadn't, and nobody would be judged.
you know you play this game too much when the neighbors stop fixing their broken windows...

Yeah, but it is more complicated. I bought a classic RT where the previous owner messed around with it. The sear was outta whack and didn't push the on/off pin all the way in. Also when I was tring to get the valve to come free the safety pin sheared off (the one which fits in the Z groove) and the on/off pin sheared when the valve popped out

I prefer to write the bulb manufacturer and complain about its inferiority until they send me a lifetime supply.

What kind of rinky-dink hard drive does the AO server use?

Pneumatter, a terrabyte? Are you nuts? 1.4 million posts, thats like 30-40GB, tops?

I don't know if AO ever purged all the attached images, that would clog up a lot of space. But I don't see how a forum this size could come close to a terrabyte. 250GB should cover it with plenty of room to spare. Unless someone is hiding a lot of porn on the server as well.

If everybody cleaned out their pm's it would save some... delete old buisness, stored PM's etc. Either way, the server isnt cut out for the traffic it generates, and i wouldnt mind donating a few bucks to keep things running. I don't need a donating status or whatever, just a place where i can talk about mags.
