    AO jerseys

So, i got my jersey in teh mail today. Which is ok i guess.

The problem is i received NO templates or emails or ANYTHING from animal before getting it.

It has most of the stuff the way i wanted it. But there were some things i wanted to change, but didnt include in teh email as i was under the impression that there would be templates made and email corespondance that would give me time to do the nessesary changes.

Instead, they just mailed me my jersey.

I dont know whether to be mad or not. Mad, because there were some things i wanted done differently, but not so mad...because...well...it still looks super sweet.

Pictures to follow, keep checking back.

I would probably be slighty angry. Not full-fleged raging, but angry. How is the material? Forearm pads? Nice and light?

Same thing happened to me. One difference though is that I emailed some changed to mondo, and they were done for me before the jersey shipped.

yea, slightly angry is about where im at....actually...miffed would be a good word.

the material is SUPER light. breathes extremely well. No pads at all. None. But the thing is SUPER BIG. I got a medium and its wide on me. Fits pretty good i suppose, but im used the the medium Diablo jersey i have that is a good deal more "form fitting" (as much as a jersey can be form fitting)

Still, miffed as i am i DO like it, and the colors, although not quite what i wanted in my head, actually work really well, and teh jersey looks great. But, its missing teh Automags.org on the right sleeve, and i wanted to change the names on the back. In my original order i had them put my forum name, and my "field" name on it....and i wanted to change that. The "owners group" logo is HUGE. I would like it to be smaller.

But then...it does look pretty awesome as a whole...so im on the fence about emailing them and trying to get it the way i want it.....but that means waiting god knows how long again.....or just keep this one because it is kinda sweet.
        I just dont know.

hum... i feel your pain. not that i HAVE an AO jersey (which i really really do), but i have been there before. as long as you are at least sort of satisfied, everything should be ok. you might probably grow into liking it at the end.

NinJeff: To be honest, it's not Animal's fault for not sending you Templates, if they didn't know you wanted to see them between editing and changes...

Animal is extremely busy right now, getting anywhere from 50-100 Jersey orders a week. YOU have to keep on them to send you Templates of what you want, especially between changes. I personally called them EVERY week, to make sure the base templates were gonna come out ok. Their Art Designers can't keep up with calling every single person that needs changes, so the individual has to take the initiative.

Thats fine. I sorta gathered that from the situation. Its just not quite how i understood it would happen according to the AO jersey order thread. PLus, with all the delays, confussion, and adjustments made before it was finalized i dodnt know when i should have sent a preemptive email. I know the pre-orders went out like...2 months ago, i paid right away, and havent heard anything (from animal) since. Heck i dint know if they would even REMEMBER me.
This reply is the one that threw me off i suppose. Post number 88 in the AO Jersey Order thread:
"When you are finally contacted to submit your custom AOer Info to Animal, they will work with you to have the AO Jersey Template look just how you want it to. Also, they usually send you a Sample Proof Picture of what you've discusssed, before they print the product."

Now i DO see the "usually" in the sentence, but i suppose i just thought that a turn of phrase .

Either way, let me make one thing ABSOLUTELY CLEAR. You did an awesome a+ 110% great job with handling the order thread, and making sure we all got some sweet AO jerseys. I fault PsychoBaller for nothing in this current situation. You did all, and more, than any of us could have expected.

I guess i dont really fault Animal either. I was pretty specific in my original order to them when i sent the money. And i know they are busy. and the jersey is GREAT looking. I was just under the impression i would have the chance to make a few tweaks to my original order per some of the discussions in the order thread.

No real anger here, just kinda miffed is all. Its like when you order something "without onions" from a food joint, and they give it to you with onions on it. No big deal you just move on. And in this case the food turned out to be pretty awesome anyways.

Again, Psychoballer, i dont fault you for anything. Im very greatful for all you have done. I dont really fault animal either as i know they are busy and my instructions were pretty specific to start with, so they probably thought there wasnt a lot that needed clarification to begin with. So, a situation that i wish would have gone differently, but didnt. No reason to get all in a fuss. And i DID get a kick butt jersey outta the deal.

That odd, He sent me all kinds of templates and I had him do several design changes before I completed the order and he put it into production.

so ive been checking it out more and more....and i AM really happy with it. The only thing that iritates me is there is no "Automags.org" on teh sleeve. Its just not there. And that shouldnt have been an issue at all given the situation since it was part of the original design.

                  Meh.

I still look awesome in it.

Call up Animal, talk to MONDO, send it back saying you didn't get Sample Templates, and it's missing stuff you asked for. Their customer service is one of the best.
