    My Pneu Classic

Just about got her dialed in and I couldn't be happier. My cocker got jealous of my rekindling of mag love and proceeded to break down. She better watch out, or I might dump her entirely. Just kiddin' dear!

This is a more or less unremarkable Classic, with a Boo-Yah on-off w/ different pin (hypermag I think), level X. MSV-2 and MPA-3 pneumatics. Something just so satisfying about it.

I was going for a sleeperish look, with a grey body and stainless valve, but never really had planned on the internal LPR. I was able to keep the safety functional, which I really appreciate since the pull is so light, and it kind of adds to the sleeper effect.

    And here is the video:

I was hoping to get 14-15 bps performance out of her, which is basically all my fingers can do. Despite being warned that classic valves have problems over 12 bps, this one doesn't show even a hint of shootdown, and the sound waves check out to 14-16bps in that clip. Suffice to say it exceeds my expectations!

Still got a few finishing tweaks, shortening the trigger pin to move the trigger back in the frame at rest, and cleaning up the routing of the hose, especially externally.

I was at first worried about the high placement of the MSV-2 and the subsequently short arm. I find that the MSV-2 has such an incredibly low actuating force that it is actually TOO light for my fingers. It hardly gets any return force at all, which actually tends to encourage short stroking and difficulty walking. But since I have the short arm, I get a bit more return force and a very short pull, which makes walking very "electro-like." I don't think I'd want the pull much longer, which would be the case if the 3-way kept the longer arm (depending on trigger pin placement of course).

So, yeah ... pneumagging is a great option for classics! Big thanks to AO (and its memberbase) for providing such complete information so as to enable me to have built this.

Nice looking set up you got there. I see you have a reverse MSV-2... Nice job...

Yeah I didn't take out that center bar so it's kind of required. Taking out that little pin was a B*TCH!

Thanks for all the small parts Cyber ... the ram piston didn't fit though (through the retainer ring), and I destroyed it taking it off of the actuator piston cup. But I was able to make one out of some stuff I had around, taking a cue from the design of yours.

Oh yeah for prospective pneu project tinkers, this is a dremel-and-hand drill job, so if that's all you have, that's fine! You will want some carbide cutting bits and cut-off wheels though.

Yea i have to open the retainer washer up a little to fit my ram through also. I try to do all the work needed to make the kit as easy as possible. Glad it all worked out for you...
