I am planning on getting either a Spyder Xtr, Sonix or Pilot. What are the significant diffenrences, if any, between these three markers? I know that the pilot is the only fully auto gun i've listed. But I think that this will eat at my Co2. So I think I'll stick with a semi auto. I only really plan on playin with my girlfriends family. She has a Pilot, but her brother has a Tippman. Can someone compare and contrast for me?

Difference? Very little, other than cosmetics. They are all 3 stacked tube blowback, so all work principly the same. Even the electro. You pull the trigger on the mechanical ones, the trigger trips a sear, the marker fires. On the electro, you pull the trigger, hit a microswitch which signals the board to actuate a flapper solenoid which trips the sear. Same thing, just more electric. You do know you can shoot semi automatic with an electric, right?

There are no operational differences between any Spyder that I can think of, only options. Internally they are all pretty much the same. Some offer lower pressure, accessories like regulators, electric frames, etc.
Buy the least expensive Spyder that you like the look of. Make sure and purchase a spring kit with it, you will need it. I REALLY suggest looking used. Spyders are almost a giveaway used....
You can make ANY spyder into an "electronic" marker with the addition of a trigger frame. So if you get one as a Semi, you like the sport and decide to stay with the clone, you can upgrade it to as top of the line as any other clone with parts.
If you simply purchase a decent barrel and good quality paint, I think you will be pleasantly suprized with ANY markers performance.
