AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
SHHHH!!!! Dont tell anybody!!! When word gets out everybody will want me to do something...(Like Jay8451...LOL)
Yes I program/operate 2 machines where I work....
I know your problem, i work as a CNC machinist as well... fortunatly i live in the netherlands and custom work is not the fasion over here. I was asked to do jobs, but when i still worked at my previous job that would be impossible.... But i did pull off some sneak jobs like protective lenses for red dot scopes, a beercan mod for my ex-DM4, and small stuff.
But at my current employer it's not really a problem and i ULE-ed a tac-one old style rail while working some overtime. No problem at all, and i asked for permission... Currently i am helping a friend of mine to get a custom turned pump piston for a pump kit to fit a german made autococker with metric sized threads... The original part will fit a normal cocker front block, but this rare cocker needs Metric size M10 to get it to fit. I've asked one of the lathe operators if he could make one, this was no problemo if i brought a drawing. I'm a milling person, not lathe, so it's a good idea to outsource work to someone that can make it in half the time it would take me.
