    AutoCocker anti-chop ram

I just picked up a Karnivor and remember seeing a post on making an anti-chop ram mod by using a spring and? I think I seen it on pbnation and Mcarterbrown. Anyone have a link?

I remember seeing that. You were supposed to plug the rear air-inlet on the ram and place a pen spring (or some spring at least) between the rear of the ram and the ram-shaft end for return.

    Sorry, no linky though..............

There's an anti-chop bolt with a spring between two halves of the bolt. Bolt just squishes itself down rather than chopping a ball. Dunno if you've heard of that, but it sounds like a way better option than putting a spring in your ram.

          Eyes don't work for you?

            A Karnivor has eyes.

It can also be tuned to pinch.

Why would you want to ghetto-fab your ram?

I have heard for years people talk about tuning a cocker to pinch. I have done it, but got nothing close to proper velocity due to the way light rear spring I had to use to get the LPR low enough to actually pinch.
I think that for the average user the measure of fine tuning required is unreachable.

i used to have a cocker that pinched. and it was all cause of the ram. the belsales 44 magnum. would never chop the ball.
