Grip frame and panel compatibility............

Hey AO,

Does anybody know if Colt 1911 grip panels are compatible with any grip frames for paintball like the intelli or other standard 45 frames?

Or any other real gun to pb gun cross-overs that are capable?

I'm asking because I ran acros a bunch of exotic wood panels on Ebay and they fit Colt 1911 45s............

I believe they should fit. There might be slight variations, though, but i do believe the original panels were just carry overs from 1911's

1911 grips will fit 45 style pb grips. The 1911 is a .45 caliber pistol, hence the 45 style grip. The 1911's grip is what the others were originally modeled after (although now it's usually just the angle and grips most of the time). My advice: Buy up! People like me might pay nice prices for nice grips...
