    Snipe Off!!

my friends have been debating which sniper is best the tiberius T9 elite or the spec ops AGD longbow hers the diffrence

the T9 has a lower profile because the LB has a second story mag

the LB has more than two times the ammo but mags are smaller and esier to carry

the LB has overall better guts like the lev 10 ect.. but are those expencive upgrades helping that much?

the LB requires a remote and tank wile the gas for the T9 is right in the mag

the T9 has more space for mounting lasers bipods flashlights ect..

and its 500 bucks VS 700

    help me choose

lb has an extremely high level of customization that allows you to change it suit your style of play.

Q Bow ; as much ammo as needed, lowers the profile(warp body) , gives ya just as many rails( not enough , britt over at UMS will make ya some more) , bottle on your back, HPA gives much more consistantity, gives you more of a multi position gun so your not stuck sniping all the time & firepower to get out of a sticky situation

I vote T9, just cuz it's smaller and way cooler cuz of the magazine in the handle.

There is no such thing as a paintball sniper. I've shot more ghille-suit wearing mil-sim marker toting wannabes hiding in the bush than I can count.

Making your marker "Mil-Sim" puts you at a disadvantage, even on the woodsball fields.

            Seriously? I disagree.

Ive seen plenty of ghillie suit wearing "snipers" rock the heck out of smaller "squads" without them ever knowing where he was coming from.

If you can't tell where shots are coming from you shouldn't be playing paintball. Sure, the guy wearing the ghillie suit (on the verge of dehydration and heat exhaustion) may have a great time burying himself in the leaves and taking out a player or two, but once he shoots, it's all over. The players who aren't there to mimic Vietnam-era soldiers are going to unload on the general position of the shooter and, most likely, score a hit or twelve.

Okay, before this becomes an issue, please, PLEASE don't throw out the "definition." We all know sniping means to hit someone from a concealed location. At least, that's what our friend Webster says. Thing is, this definition is only maybe 1/8 of the actual definition of sniping. To hide and shoot someone from a concealed location is what EVERY good woodsballer, and EVERY good speedballer is trying to do.

id say longbow cause you can uload more than 8 shots at a time, thouhg they do have a breach for the t9. but the actually def of paintball sniping is more of a 2 person ambush. you may lie in wait for a while but you unload on the un suspecting other team.

Given that the t9 uses co2 I'd say the longbow would be more reliable. If an o-ring blows on that tac-9 or even the tac 8 its quite a bit to tear the internals down. With the mag its a lot easier.

                        Not really...

The point of a sniper in paintball is to actually wait, for 4-5 guys to walk by, shoot them all in the back... then find a NEW spot to hide... you never hide in the same spot twice, that's what real sniping is.

Most people confuse longballing with sniping...

Sorry to say it but the concept of a paintball sniper is a joke. Sure you may get one of the 4 or5 players out, after that you are toast so there is no "moving" to another spot. Now if any of you l337 snipezors out there have any stories where you took out the other team with your super sniping skills, either you are a liar or you play with the dumbest players ever. As far as which marker, longbow/Qbow for the win. I just picked up botha qbow and a sweet X7 setup. I looked at some of the Rap4's and Tiberius markers and decided the X7 was the best Mil-Sim set up for me. I like how you can change it up and lay down the paint if you need to. Plus the electro trigger coming out soon is totally freakin awesome. If you are trying to choose between a mag and any other marker, mag FTW based on it's reliability and the number of different set up options you have.
Due to the objections of a certain Canadian, this space is now for rent.

i already chose the longbow but i wanted to put my 2 cents in for the sniper. where i play at is a heavily wooded area, so a single shot will echo alot if coming from a distance. im talking 50 or more feet and its hard to pin point the shooters exact position especially if your already pumpin adrenaline from a previous gun battle. i sometimes use this as an advantage with my friends, but none the less you cannot stay in one position and expect to pick off a whole team. you must be patient and totally concealed. either way youve gotta move fast if you dont shoot the whole team out in that first burst.
