etac vs xmag

ok which is better etac or an xmag. is it common to trade an etack for an xmag? how much do etacs go for? any information would be great. thanks :)

well the xmag had the following over the tac
changable breach
cool body
unibody/rail
tac over xmag
rails

comes down to what you like and what you have the money for. if you can trade a etac for an xmag and you want the xmag well theres your answer. good condtion etacs go for 700-750 range and xmag tend to be 800+ but there are good deals out there.

Unibody is not better IMO. The Rail/Body system can be made much lighter with ULE milling.

Xmags do have an eye system, Etacs dont.
I personally dont like the lack of feedneck options on an Xmag.
IE the Xmag breach has to be machined to accept a clamping feedneck,
where as most other aluminum mag bodies accept Angel threaded feednecks.

The only reason I like my X over any of the emags is the ability to switch the breech.

IE Warp one min. Vert feed another.
