    Valve Weight

Hey, which is heavier? The stock 68 automag valve or the Retro Valve? Just curious. Thanx...

      Stock seems heavier...

My minimag seemed to have a much heavier feel after I put my minimag valve back in the gun.

The Stock A.I.R. valve is heavier, as you can see below.
I weighed both valves with and without a stock Long Nose bolt, with bolt spring, and used a digital scale to do so, and show weight in both grams and ounces.

        ---Stock Valve---

        Without Bolt & Spring:
        380g or 13.4oz

        With Bolt & Spring:
        446g or 15.7oz

        ---ReTro Valve---

        Without Bolt and Spring:
        310g or 10.9oz

        With Bolt & Spring:
        376g or 13.3oz

I am pretty sure the back half of the RT valve is aluminum, so it would make sense that it was lighter. The normal AIR valve is all steel.
