AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
OK going out on a limb here,
I'm getting the feeling that the majority of the people here on the AO play tournament style games. or more specifically Speed Ball.
i will concede that a wood stock is more of a Woods Ball, Mil/Sim, Scenario type of thing.
as for not being worth it, i don't see hiding behind a balloon and shooting hundreds of rounds for no good reason as being worth it.
i also don't see any reason to shoot more than 15bps or 900rnds/minute which is faster than a great many real steel automatic firearms.
but lets not turn this thread into a posturing or pissing contest.
that was not my purpose.
I'm building several of these for myself, becauseI LIKE THEM. no other reason is needed really.
I've posted these threads to see if anyone else might be interested in one,
the source for these beautiful Wood Stocks offers a large price reduction for an order of 10 stocks or more,
i'm buying 4 personally so i was just seeing if anyone out there might want a stock for their Mag.
friend of mine is a riflesmith and the laminated stocks are very heavy....especially after you clear coat them.....but they are beautiful....also the weight is good for bench rests
I totally respect your opinion.I know stocks aren't for everyone.
For me...I just like the feel of them...and everyone knows you shoot better when you feel comfortable with your setup

you could always hollow out the tail stock.
are you guys just picky about weight, or is it really that big of an issue?
think of the guys in Iraq that are lugging an M249 S.A.W. around...
Wood Stock doesn't seem so bad by comparison really.
even think back to the M-1 Garand, one of the most beautiful rifles ever made.
the more I think about it the more I am seeing these a beautiful works....almost to nice to mess up paintballing. Woodworking is a real skill...takes talent to make it look good!!
