    Anyone have Dimensions of an AGD stainless body?

    I want to mill an aluminum body that accepts twistlock barrels and still has a vertical removable feedneck.
    What can I say... I love me some twistlock barrels

    I have a couple old SS kicking around... I'll search for and post up later.
    (I got a nice centerfeed barrel (JJ 2 peice? something like that..) too that has been sitting in my closest for 4 years... /plug)

    ok..

    6 1/4 long.
    about 1 1/4 circumference

    Feed hole from 2 1/4 to 3 from front .
    twist lock thingy from like 2 to 2 1/2 (you'd best line it up on your rail and stuff)
    anything else you need on it?

      You should call the factory? But. . .

      With some calipers I inherited from my grandpa:

      OD= 1.123"
      ID= 1.002"
      Length= 6.258"

      Start of on/off hole (from back of body)= 0.122"
      Diameter of on/off hole= 0.231"
      Start of Sear Slot (from back)= 1.477"
      Length of Sear Slot= 1.429"
      Start of Front Frame Screw Hole (from back of body to tip of rear threads)= 3.902"
      Start of Twistlock Hole (from back of body)= 4.33"
      Diameter of Twistlock Hole= 0.268"

      You should know that there is a ~2mm gap between the mainbody and the valve on my mag. Might be the body's fault, might not. And I didn't measure the breach because I can't do it accurately due to the powerfeed being in the way.

        My findings.

        OD= 1.120"
        ID= 1.050"
        Length= 6.258"

        Start of on/off hole (from back of body)= 0.122"
        Diameter of on/off hole= 0.225"
        Start of Sear Slot (from back)= 1.475"
        Length of Sear Slot= 1.425"
        Start of Front Frame Screw Hole (from back of body to tip of rear threads)= 3.902"
        Start of Twistlock Hole (from back of body)= 4.33"
        Diameter of Twistlock Hole= 0.266"

        Mostly the same. What is AGD's tol?

          Would someone mind mailing me a spare body, I can have it measured and back ASAP. I'll cover your fees as well. Not that I don't trust ya'll... I just like having firsthand info.

            Wouldn't it be easier to modify an existing ULE body or get hold of a sluggo? ie ream out the cocker threads and add an extra hole for the twistlock etc.

            Or are the dimensions smaller than the stainless bodies? I forget, been years since I've looked at a classic body.

              This is not for a mag. I simply stated I want to mill an aluminum body to accept a vertical twistlock barrel. Hence, I need accurate female twistlock dimensions.

                I can get one off to you.
                Hit me up with a PM or Email.

                And I'm curious how a mag barrel would fit in something else? Maybe it's simple but I wouldn't think it could.

                    Metal around the twistlock pin isn't really necessary though.

                    TWISTLOCK & BREACH DROP FTW!!!

                    pneumagger, idk exactly what you're doing, but I sense impending awesomeness. . .

                          Hey:

                          Joe-if you need one let me know. I have to mail you some stuff anyways and you can keep the body for awhile. I also, have some twistlock assemblies if you need some of those too.
