I have been shot (by my own team no less) from about 6 feet away, still didn't welt like many of the worse ones seen in some of the pics. I have however been shot from 40 ft give or take with a 322fps marker (glad I had the chrono), and did get welts like some pictured. So, of course it was a generalization by me, but I have been playing the game sence 89 and have been hit many times. Only time I have ever received a major welt, was with a hot marker. I guess that would be my reasons for saying that.

Same story here only I've only been playing about 10 years. Most of those welts resemble a time when I got bunkered by a guy who was about 350(its been years and I don't remember the exact speed) Even in close up bunkerings I've never seen such severe welts from legal markers I would think those guys must have been shooting pretty hot.

last year I got bunkered (never chrono'd the kid) but he shot me 3 times in the arm and where he hit me was bleeing & swelled up about 1" it was gross loll looked like I had something growing off my arm...I still have very noticable rings that scarred where he hit me...and it pretty much hurt the most out of 10 years of getting shot. I've gotten bunkered many times and never got hit like that...he had to of been shootin hot

I caught one to the collar bone one time. The smack was so loud my buddy heard it over the chaos of the game. Turned my whole shoulder green in about two days. Definitely the worst body damage I ever sustained. It was weird because it was just one ball in the perfect spot I guess.
