what is the Diff. It seems to me the 1st gen pods were weaker ? if that is so is it a real problem ?

The 1st gen Qpods had a long loose drive spring at the center, and a small plastic rev limiter
the 2nd gen have the spring prewound and mounted to thge central shaft
the 1st gens are harder to take apart and put back together, and you dont want to wind it empty and let it rip, the rev limiter will jam up at the top
they both work in the same loaders and use the same reloader, just some improvements to the 2nd gen -

Also note that the Gen 2's have upgraded parts that are metal that were plastic in Gen 1's.
And what he said about the contained spring is a 100,0000,000,0,00,0,0,00,0,0, Improvement!!!! And you don't have the little chase ball to worry about either.
I find the Gen 2 sooooo much better and easier to tune than the Gen 1 ever was!!!

)

YEs as far as I know only Gen 2's are sold anymore... in fact... when one of the local reps saw I had Gen 1 pods he about fell over!!!!
Traded me out so he could have a "collectible"

It wasn't more money... it was a show n tell piece for the rest of the folks around there.... about how the Q USED to be made....
Like the disappearing spring when you take the cap off....
