If dyi, should lowes or any other hardware store have some, then just heat it on there?

There's a guy selling shrinkwrap hoses in the dealer's forum on this site, I think that's where most people get it.

What he said. Here's the link.

It's really easy to do it yourself, too. I held mine over the electric burner on my kitchen stove and it worked great!

You can get shrink tubing from Radio Shack or automotive parts stores (electronics section). Radio Shack has the multi-colored tubes, where-as autoparts stores normally only stock black.

Rogue also sells hoses in 13-inch lengths only, with some really thick stuff sortta like shrink wrap. 13- inch is the length everyone uses to go straight from their ASA to their valve in that big loop.

Thanks,I think ill just run on over to lowes later on and pick up some clean black.

10 bucks seems a little much for a foot of shrink wrap.

Good luck finding anything other than short pieces. I've checked Radio Shack and Home Depot both sell short pieces they look to be 6" maximum. I haven't tried Lowe's but I'm sure they sell the exact same thing.

Electronic hobby and electrical supply houses have it. It may be $10 for 30 ft though. Some places have 3 ft lengths of black and the odd colors. Depending on where they are, Rogue's $10 hose may be economical.

I don't know.... $10 for 16 inches of shrinkwrap from LuisV sounds like a good deal to me, especially since you get to advertise for AO. 16 inches gave me more than enough to do the SS lines on my gun.

While we're talking about shrinkwrap, how much does it shrink length-wise when you heat it? How much extra would you need to put on, say, a 12" hose, if any?

It really doesn't shrink length-wise, at least not enough to be noticable.
