ok so really the only things that will really increase performance, are a board update (rmod) and the robtown valve(if I already have the Humphrey's solenoid)? stuff like the mighty max and the SCM are all really aesthetic kinda stuff? And Milling only helps with weight? So I get DC to Update the board, set the LPR, and then all I do is adjust the sidewinder to adjust the velocity?

yep pretty much right on the upgrades

with your lpr set around 70 (factory set) the hpr is what you adjust with. Ive got all my vikes (including the one that just went away) set betwen 60 and 65 and i adjust thru my hpr.
One VERY good investment is a tool kit, comes with the 3 prong tool, gauge adapter (mine came with a gauge also) and ram cartridge tool.

you wouldnt happen to have the update cable for your Pandora would you? ive got Rmod software on my computer and could send you a copy then you can do it your self.

sorry i keep forgeting stuff. If your Pandora is going dumb it might be more then just a software problem, ive heard that it happens to some.

oh Dvs youll also probobly wanna pick up an AKA clamper feedneck, they are realy nice.

I don't have it yet, but, I hear this 'pandora going dumb' is a common problem, can it be fixed by just flashing the board to rmod? I don't have ANY parts or tools for Viks, where can I get some? I want to be able to fix problems myself, because they're rare, and I don't know where to get help other that someone like DC.

go strait to the source for your tools and parts. if i rember correctly all service on guns is being done thru jared now.

If you want basic help you can contact me any time at [email protected] (my msn also). Or id suggest posting in the AKA forums on PBN, the guys there can be harsh if you dont do your research, but they are a good group and will help you out.

as for your board problem, i honestly dont know. Ive got a pandora that used to go dumb regularly, after i updated the software, not even to Rmod, its stoped. dont know if this is a fix, or if i just got lucky tho.

Hey now, I gave all my responses on SpecOps, but I did keep track of your posts on PBN's AKA forum.

As going_home said, AKA's are to electros as Automags are to mechs. AKA's haven't been made since 2004, and other markers are just now catching up to them. Well, not quite yet.

              Papa Smurf,

sometimes it takes a few days for jared to get back to you via email, so don't fret. (and it always seems that his replies are later in the evening just so you know.)

Since they seem to be the last AKA technicians they get rather busy.

Got a 03 unmilled first... was my first good electro. Started a nasty little habit I must say. You'll love any vike you can get your hands on. I'd still like to find a unmilled 04 myself as I just love the unmilled look, but I recently picked up a DC milled 04 with a crazy copper/orange anno. Can't go wrong with any viking period. Just setup the trigger the way you want it. My 03 came with this dainty little razor thing that was like injecting your fingers with novacaine... now I have a JMJ Nervous on the 03 (and 04 but that came with it, thankfully) and it's a completely different gun. Here's some pics:

Last one shows you the volumizer and scm on the 04. The 03's have their own unique look and I love how they do not need either. Sorry for all the pics, not trying to hijaack ze thread... just hope these pics get you excited about Vikings... as well you can see some of the differences between the two models. Besides mags the aka guns really do it for me. I've got a early early blind excal too but I haven't got it setup right at the moment. Vikings are simple pure performers... goodluck finding what you want! When you do def let Jared tune it if need be, his services are irreplaceable.
